The intent of Diabetic Life of Michigan is to help empower ALL people living with diabetes through “Education, Awareness and Support”.  Additionally, we use the TEAM approach by joining forces with what we consider the “Best of the Best”. These people and organizations truly have the best interest of ALL people living with diabetes at heart. They are concerned about how to get the information out to people and help provide direction for other areas of diabetes help.  By working together, we know we can all accomplish more.

We know that diabetes is a serious disease.  Bob, along with one of his daughters and his Father live with diabetes and sadly he lost his Mother to complications from it. Marcel is battling the pre-diabetes problem right now and his brother lives with Type 2 diabetes.

We know how very important learning is. However, it should be fun. It should get and keep your attention and make you want to learn more. That's why we bring you the Diabetic Life of Michigan Magazine in its current fun format. Hey, it's your life. Shouldn't it be your choice to enjoy what you are reading and watching?... Ok good, we agree.

The programs of Diabetic Life are designed with the best interest of those living with diabetes.  Our programs such as the Diabetic Life Magazine, Diabetic Life Kidz, Backpack of Life and Young Authors Program will be in full swing in 2009. As you travel through our website, you will see pictures from the programs we presented in Las Vegas with one twist... they are here in Michigan now.  It just goes to show you that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there.  Also, as proud members of the National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP), we will bring you all the latest information and diabetes trends from the National Institutes of Health and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, all with a click of a button.  And this is just the beginning
